Abstract

In this workshop, attendees will learn how to incorporate research and insights from patients' experiences with an illness into a single patient journey map. From initial diagnosis, through treatment, and towards maintenance, we'll look at all aspects that affect the patient's experience, such as critical events and milestones, emotions, emotions, technology, context, and other stakeholders.

Through this journey mapping exercise, workshop participants will learn how to identify critical moments (pain points, insights and opportunities) and determine how technology could support the patient's needs at those times. This user-experience-centered approach will provide valuable information and allow you to design useful products that are truly focused on supporting your patient's needs at key points in their journey to good health.

You don't need to know how to draw pretty pictures (or even straight lines for that matter) to create an effective journey map. We'll break down the process of mapping a journey into small exercises, support you with the tools and guidance you need, and you'll be amazed with the insights we expose which you can directly apply to your design decisions.

Target audience:
Telehealth, IT, medical device, eHealth, mHealth, entrepreneurs, consumer technology companies, medical device companies, etc.
